Da'wah Pamphlets

In the Name of Allâh, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

By the grace of Allah, a group of dedicated brothers and sisters has been involved in a pamphlet project set up to spread information about Islam and clear misconceptions. These pamphlets are easy to understand, eye catching and have been read by Muslims and non-Muslims alike as well as drawing readers closer to Islam. 1. Pamphlet - About Islam

Many religions also claim belief in One God however, they associate partners with Him. The following are examples:

•Worshipping or asking forgiveness of God through His creation
•Delegating some of God’s attributes to other objects or beings
•Setting up rivals with God by elevating something to be in opposition to Him

The above mentioned beliefs or actions all go against the very principles of Islam.

2. Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him)

Muslims believe that Muhammad (peace be upon him) is the final Prophet in a long chain of Prophets sent to call the people to the obedience and worship of God alone (‘Allah’ in Arabic). Some of these Prophets include Adam, Noah, Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Moses, David, Solomon and Jesus (peace be upon them all).

3. The Hijab - Reflections by Muslim Women

It will be three years since I stood before two Muslim sisters and declared openly my belief in God (Allah) and His Messenger, peace be upon him, and thus freeing and liberating myself from my former self-imposed bondage. Stepping out of the darkness of disbelief into the light of Islam, it’s funny that I found such freedom in the very thing that was keeping me from Islam in the first place - the hijab.

4. Misconceptions About Islam

Have you ever wondered why a nun can be covered from head to toe and she’s respected for devoting herself to God, but when a Muslim woman covers, she’s viewed as “oppressed”? Or why a Jew can grow a beard and he’s just practising his faith, and when a Muslim does that, he’s an “extremist”?

5. Oneness of God

Say: He, Allah, is One. Allah is He on Whom all depend. He begets not, nor is He begotten. And none is like Him. Qur’an 112:1-4. The teaching of God’s complete Oneness is the essence of Islam. All other laws, beliefs and commands of Islam are built on this foundation. Take it away, and there is nothing left of the religion.

6. Women's Rights in Islam

Women in Islam are thought to be subjugated, degraded, oppressed - but are they really? Are millions of Muslims simply that oppressive or are these misconceptions fabricated by a biased media? “And for women are rights over men, similar to those of men over women.” Qur’an 2:228

7. Why Don't You Pray?

Allah says: "And they have been commanded no more than this: to worship Allah, offering him sincere devotion, being true (in faith), and to establish regular prayer, and to pay zakaat, and that is the religion right and straight" (al-Bayyinah 5). Also: "Verily, the prayers are enjoined on the believers at stated times" (al-Nisaa 103).

8. The Qur'an - The Final Revelation to Mankind

The Qur’an is “a guidance for mankind… and the distinction (between right and wrong).” Qur’an 2:185 It provides direction to help mankind judge between right and wrong, without which, man would surely be in loss.

9. The Mercy of Allah (God)

God Almighty is full of love and kindness to His creation. All blessings and goodness in this world and the next are clear proofs of His Mercy. Indeed, Islam teaches that God is more merciful toward us than our own mothers.
