Seeking Knowledge: The Forgotten Emergency

Allah (Most Exalted is He), Who created us and gave us sustenance, has also given us guidance. He said: "Verily We have created man into toil and struggle… Have We not made for him a pair of eyes; and a tongue, and a pair of lips; and shown him the two ways (obedience and disobedience)?" (Qur'an, Al-Balad 90:4-10)

Love Chronicles

Ibn Taimiyah said: "The heart will not find complete happiness except by loving Allah and by striving towards what is dear to Him. It is not possible to achieve this love except by rejecting all things that compete with it. This is what the words, 'There is no god but Allah' mean; this is the spirit of the deen of Ibrahim and of that of every other prophet." (Ibn Taimiya, Majmu' al-Fatawa, vol 28, p.32, Riyadh)

The Guidance of Our Children

By Mohammad Elshinawy. Our children are our best investment for the future of Islam - we need as Muslims to start taking this Amanah (trust) seriously and take responsibility through action.

Regretful Ramadaan

Narrated Abu Huraira: I heard Allah's Apostle saying regarding Ramadan, "Whoever prayed at night in it (the month of Ramadan) out of sincere Faith and hoping for a reward from Allah, then all his previous sins will be forgiven."

Standing Alone

The Prophet (saw) said "Islaam began as something strange and it will revert to how it began as something strange. So glad tidings of Paradise to the strangers" The people asked, "Who are they, O Messenger of Allaah?" He answered, "Those who are pious and righteous when the people have become evil."

Perfect Justice

Whoever does an evil act will only be repaid with its equivalent...(Surah Ghafir, 40) ...You will only be recompensed for what you used to do. (Surah Tahrim, 7)

Abandoning The Qur'aan

Allaah the Most High says: "And the Messenger said O My Lord my people have abandoned - acting or listening - to the Qur'aan." [al-Furqaan: 30]

To Veil Or Not To Veil

By Mohammad Elshinawy. ?And say to the believing women that they should lower their gaze and guard their modesty; that they should not display their beauty and ornaments except what must ordinarily appear therof; that they should draw their veils over their bosoms and not display their beauty except to their husbands, their fathers, their husbands' fathers, their sons, their husbands' sons, their brothers, or their brothers' sons or their sisters' sons, or their women or the servants whom their right hands possess, or male servants free of physical needs, or small children who have no sense of the shame of sex, and that they should not strike their feet in order to draw attention to their hidden ornaments. And O you Believers, turn you all together towards Allah, that you may attain Bliss.? (Quran 24:31).
